Tens of building standing above water channel on Jalan Duri Raya, Duri Selatan Urban Village, Tambora Sub-district, Wednesday (3/23) were demolished by joint personnel. One heavy equipment was deployed to speed up channel normalization.

“We totally demolished 50 buildings consisting house, stall, and kiosk,” said Joko S, Tambora Sub-district Vice, Wednesday (3/23).

According to him, those buildings were in RW 02, 03, and 04 along 750 meters of Jalan Duri Raya.

“According to procedure, we have delivered first to third warning letters and demolition letter to the owners,” he added.

Joko admitted mostly the owners agreed to be demolished.

“West Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Management will refunction the channel to overcome puddle and flood,” he closed.
